In my classroom we implement a program called Daily 5 where students work through a variety of stations that allow them practice and strengthen their reading and writing skills. To improve student reading, students must listen to expert readers read to them. This can be accomplished through listening to reading on the iPads. Our students have access to multiple reading sites that allow them to read, listen to reading, and practice comprehension, but they cannot use them without the technology. Listening to expert readers help students improve fluency, comprehension, and expression. Receiving these iPads would greatly improve my students' reading skills and help them continue to grow as readers and learners!
