My students will have just been identified as intellectually gifted. This is their first chance to encounter work that goes beyond the third grade level in a class filled with students who all have special abilities. I want their introduction into the gifted classroom to be memorable with a novel that will get them charged and keep them motivated to learn. Unfortunately, many gifted students do not reach their full potential, yet these are the kids who hold the promise to lead the next generation.
