The cricut machine requested will allow me to create a dynamic classroom environment by incorporating hundreds of other materials as part of my classroom instruction. Students will be able to design or construct something as part of project based learning. The cricut will allow me to build word/resource walls for all subjects where the students can generate and design the ideas themselves. The machine will also enable me to produce educational resources for all subject areas to implement in my classroom throughout the school year. These are resources that I can begin using immediately. The use of dry erase pocket sleeves is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in morning DI groups. The sleeves allow me to work with individual groups on the same topic while allowing them to highlight and make notes. Once completed, I am then able to reuse the material inside for the next group of students for continued guided instruction. Language and reading comprehension is something we utilize daily and throughout multiple subjects in the classroom. The books selected will add to our classroom resources. I am honored to teach a gifted class this year which allows us to complete monthly novel studies. Students have the opportunity to see books come to life with hands on experiences I try to recreate for them from the book as well as hands on projects they complete and are then displayed in the classroom. Laminating their projects gives them the opportunity to preserve and display their work for years to come. Being that we do quite a lot of reading, book bins are always a necessity. Organizational tools allow us to not only keep our resources neat but easily accessible! Please assist me in making my classroom an inviting, nurturing, and educational environment to be in!
