Our elementary school has students from the lowest socioeconomic status. Grade levels are Pre-K through 5th grade of which 100 percent qualify for free lunch. The student body is comprised of approximately 654 students with different needs, learning styles and interests. To give these children the same learning opportunities as other children, a printer would enable them to produce a visual presentation of their research and classroom assignments. These children are always trying to improve. They look forward to the day when they can print their reports and visual displays of their work in the library for others to see their growth and performance. Unfortunately, these students do not have access to printers at home to complete assignments. Many of them have limited transportation so they walk wherever they go. A new printer would help them to print in a safe learning environment.
