Students who participate in Science Olympiad are able to compete in a topic they feel passionate about. Some of these events involving building a device or understanding chemistry concepts through lab experimentation. These kits are the foundation to get my students to understand their event and also gives them hands on experience with the materials that they should expect to see at the state competition. Students can use these tools year after year to hone their skills and become more competitive in the state competitions and ultimately the national competition. Funding these kits for the Science Olympiad students to use will make an impact on how well they can prepare for competition.
