Currently, our students have been accessing speech-to-text software and related phonics programs at various times throughout the school day. Often, we find that they can become frustrated with the Chromebook microphones. These microphones pick up background noise in the classroom. Having headphones with built-in, noise-canceling mics will increase student productivity when using these programs. Additionally, the Revibe Connect will allow our students to monitor their own attentiveness and sensory needs with far less stigma and greater independence. Given the appropriate accessibility tools, our kiddos can thrive in the general education classroom and feel greater ownership over their learning. This provides the first step in creating lifelong learners who know how to carry on, regardless of the challenge.
