Dr. Seuss books have helped thousands of children learn to read. My goal is to have a Dr. Seuss book in every student's hands at our school to read during the week of Dr. Seuss/Read Across America week. Students are allowed to take books home and I always encourage them to read the books with their families, especially the younger ones. Our Spanish-speaking families enjoy taking Dr. Seuss books to their parents that are learning the English language. Again, Dr. Seuss books have helped thousands of people to learn to read and write.
