Flexible seating is something I wish I had growing up in my early educational years. Unfortunately, I didn't have a choice and had to sit for 7 hours on a hard chair. This is what most students in our country have to tolerate, but I wish to change that for my 4th graders. The wobble stools, portable lap desks, sports equipment, and microphone will bring flexibility, comfort, and voice to all of my students. They will have the opportunity to choose their seating in hopes of staying focused, being comfortable while providing flexibility all around. The sports equipment will allow my students to play sports together, and this will encourage team work and good sportsmanship. The microphone will help my students express themselves freely during class discussions and be heard by all. By providing these useful tools for my students, it will allow for freedom and it will make a tremendous difference in their learning styles.
