Having multiple seating options is huge to help assist in student engagement. Currently, I have some students that prefer to kneel by their desk or stand instead of sitting for long periods of time. I also have students that crave the ability to fidget or move around in their seat while they are learning. Providing my students with a range of different seating options will allow them to focus more on their learning and less on other distractions. I hope to one day have a classroom with a wide range of flexible seating options, and this is a great start!
