These books will let my kids have a reading experience from an early age. A lot of my students come from a low-income household. The first time I read to my class, I was amazed at how they were engaged. They asked me if I could read to them every day in the morning and I was excited that they love sitting on the floor and just listening and visualizing the story. I try to go to the public library as much as I can to get books for my students but my time some weekends is very limited for my family since I leave the school every day, the earliest, at 5 pm. Students need to read as much as possible to gain vocabulary and knowledge. The classroom supplies I requested will help me throughout the year. They will help me create projects, clean my room after I am done with the projects and engage with my students in other ways to develop their little brains. Reading for me is very important but also the writing and that is why I have asked for the whiteboards.
