My students have a wide range of reading levels from early Kindergarten to beginning of Second Grade. To help ensure that they are improving their reading skills, I want to make sure that they have access to various leveled books. Most of my students have little or no access to books at home and they struggle with their language skills and vocabulary. This causes the students to have poor reading skills. I believe that the more time children spend reading books, the better readers they become. Unfortunately, I have a limited amount of leveled reading books in my classroom, which makes it difficult for my students to read independently. The wide range of leveled readers that I have requested will give them the opportunity to read books that are on their level. These books offer students a variety of different topics and each box set comes with multiple different titles and some have multiple copies of each book so that we will be able to use them during guided reading groups. These leveled books will help build their fluency, reading, and comprehension skills.
