All students thrive when they are placed in an educational environment that provides support and various modalities of teaching. For students with significant special needs, this is especially true! I have worked diligently to create a safe and welcoming classroom that supports student's hands-on learning. Unfortunately, the projector in my classroom is incredibly dim, which makes it challenging for my students to see the board. Currently, our smartboard is going unused because the students simply cannot see what is being projected. Despite numerous attempts to get a new projector, or simply a new light bulb from the school district, my student's are left without this useful technology. The Unique Learning System is a software specifically designed to help students with special needs learn key curriculum in an engaging manner. With a brand new projector displaying a clear image for my students to see, they will be able to participate in these interactive lessons. Students will have the opportunity to use the smartboard to help them read passages, answer questions, and engage with meaningful videos and images. Thank you for considering funding this project to help my students thrive!
