My students have a limited amount of nonfiction texts to refer to in their own classroom. I have MANY shelves dedicated to fiction and books for pleasure reading and sadly are limited to 1 1/2 small shelves of nonfiction texts. My students are currently struggling to find things that interest them because of our small amount of books for nonfiction currently available in our classroom. They are quickly getting bored with the current selection available in our classroom library. We need a fresh variety of important topics, important people, and subjects that will get my students engaged in their learning and nonfiction reading.
