We're fortunate to have a very supportive school. They provide reeds, strings, sticks, music, and other supplies every year for our students. Some of the things we need are beyond what the school can provide though. We've been able to get by with a snare drum and bass drum, but the music the students are playing is now calling for additional percussion equipment.
Additional percussion equipment like cymbals, claves, and maracas, will help my students continue to grow as musicians. This will also allow my percussionists to play other instruments besides drum pads when I run out of drums for the concert.
We also currently have all our music stands taking up one side of the music room. A stand cart will help make space for our new percussion equipment and make them easy to transport. It will also make the room look more organized for the students.
You might be one of those adults that wished they learned to play an instrument. It's never too late to learn! My students are learning right now and could use your help to keep growing as musicians. Thank you!
