My Kindergarteners love to listen to and read books. I read to my students daily and have a classroom library where students can enjoy books independently. As of now, I do not have a place in my library for big books. I would like for students to have an opportunity to read big books during independent reading time and literacy centers. Big books allow students to love art and literature. The pictures enhance the story and help link pictures to words. Big books help students develop creativity through literature and help develop intelligence. With a new big book stand, students will be able to organize and read big books independently. I will have a place to keep the books so students can reach them and read them freely.
