Every student can succeed with the right help - this technology goes a long way to accomplishing that goal. My students will use these iPads to utilize many online tools available to help them learn and demonstrate mastery of required skills: text to speech, translation, dictation, etc. This will also enable them to participate in discussions online with other students, fostering academic dialogue and reasoning skills. This technology will not only help with their academic skills, but soft skills as well. Typing on a keyboard is a skill that they will develop to assist them in future careers. Additionally, they will be able to collaborate on assignments, discussions, and projects, which will help them to be successful in their post-secondary endeavors.
