These books will definitely help enrich my student's learning and provide them with topics to help them with becoming more self-aware of their actions, behaviors and how that can have a positive or negative ripple effect in the school community. I have created a safe place in my classroom where students can go to when they need to re-set and self-regulate. Students may utilize the safe zone by reading independently, drawing, or just simply sitting and focusing on their breathing for a few minutes. The new books will allow my students to choose a variety of books and read them independently at their own grade level.
