Having a set of calculators in the classroom will allow students to be most successful in solving problems and doing their best when testing their knowledge. Access to a scientific calculator will allow students the opportunity to apply concepts to problems and solve them without using an app or online calculator that they won't have access to for tests and quizzes. A class set will give every student the same opportunity for success and allow them to do their best. I have had students shut down because they couldn't apply their knowledge to solve a problem and be able to calculate a real world answer.
