Our school has recently purchased a greenhouse. In order to maximize the potential of this educational opportunity, students need to have the proper supplies and materials. Today's students in agriculture will be feeding the world tomorrow! This scholarship will give students the much needed resources they need to learn how crops are produced. Rather than learn through a text book or online research, they would have a hands-on opportunity to learn with something tangible. McFarland may be a socially-disadvantaged "farming" town, but that doesn't mean our students cannot have a fair shot in their education. Providing students with real world experience will better prepare them for their next step in life.
