My students come from a diverse set of educational backgrounds. Each of them has special learning needs which throws up roadblocks for them to learn effectively in a general educational setting. These sets will enable my students to have hands-on experience in building design, assembly, project problem solving, and teamwork. MY students require extra time and support in all of these areas and working with tangible, hands-on, educational tools gives them an added boost to help them fully see what they are working on. STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) encompasses the basic educational components students need to succeed in today's technological society. The students I work with do not get this experience in a general education setting and these tools will assist my students in building their skills and developing new learning pathways.
