All of the students in my class are learning to read and write in English. As they become better writers, they will be typing their stories and presentations using Google Docs. The computers we have will work when they are charged, but we do not have a charging cart for what we have and have to ask other grade levels to let us use their carts when their Chromebooks are being used so that we can charge our computers for 40 minutes at a time. My students may or may not get a charged device when it's time for writing and so then they have to work with a partner and take turns using the computers. It is so much easier to work when each student has a charged device.
