Our school is an economically disadvantaged school, but our students are very high performing earning several state and national awards. The school is racially diverse with African-Americans, Hispanics, and Asian-Americans making up the bulk of the school population. They work hard to improve their lives through education. Many students come from homes where by necessity both parents work and often work difficult hours so that the children are caring for themselves and their siblings after school, and trying to finish homework at the same time.
