Art is one of the many joys for many students. Having these materials will allow my students to learn about the real process an artist goes through when painting a self-portrait. Easels, acrylic paint, canvases, and paint brushes will make a difference in my students’ learning by allowing them to experience using their creativity in an artistic way. Students will come to understand the multiple steps and time that it takes in order to create a self-portrait. Students will be able to self express themselves through their portraits. They will have an opportunity to choose what type of self-portrait they would like to paint. These materials will create a lasting learning experience for my students.
