All of us are experiencing a unique time in history. I want my students to create a visual and written record of this time when we can't be face to face. At school they have access to art supplies to create content rich artwork. However, with social distancing in place most of my students lack even the basic tools to make art. Providing basic art supplies to all of my students will help them to continue to grow as artists. Creating an art journal will give students a place to express their thoughts, emotions and events relevant in their lives during this period of social distancing. My hope is that students will begin to see themselves as true artists. We will use these materials to aide in the process of becoming life-long learners, artist and reflective global citizens. As the teacher, my goal is to provide a space for all of my students to trust their ideas, themselves and to find their voice. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
