Author's Chair, Show and Tell, student presentations, Teacher Table, Be-the-teacher; these are just some of the activities we conduct that allow students to take charge of their own learning and lead the group's learning themselves! Students need a microphone to be heard above the drone of the air conditioning (among other distractions nearby) and give them the confidence to lead their learning! Our students will thrive with a Kindle Fire tablet in their hands to look up information about age-appropriate subjects that interest them, with educational applications that track individual progress, allowing me the opportunity to teach to small groups.
