As a first-year teacher, there are a lot of things to get ready for a classroom. Many of those things come along as a surprise that you never would have imagined needing! Having an organized and functional classroom is vital. Students having the materials that they need at the ready is important in the flow of the class day. My students use so many various materials throughout the day to participate in activities and answer questions! This keeps them interested in the learning as well as encourages participation among all students. Functionality in the classroom helps my students and me focus on the content that they are learning and the lessons flow more smoothly overall!

About my class
