Currently, we have eight Chromebooks in the classroom to be shared among 32 students, and a total of 24 Chromebooks to be shared among three fifth grade classrooms. My students will be better able to access programs that will benefit them in improving their reading skills, offer extra practice in math, and help them to produce writing projects in the classroom. Having better access to laptops in the classroom will also allow them to improve their skills in technology, their keyboarding skills, and prepare them for district and state assessments. Most of my students come from impoverished families and don't have ​access to technology at home the way most of us do.
