In order for our students to find success beyond their time in high school, they need to develop their collaboration skills. In World History, we do many group projects and inquiries that require students to collaborate, problem-solve, and learn from one another. Because our classes are 90 minutes long, many students struggle to remain engaged and energized while often remaining seated for far longer than is healthy. With dry erase easels set up around the room, students will be able to collaborate with more freedom to move and interact effectively as members of a team. Access to classroom equipment that allowed students to move around the room and engage with learning in different ways would breathe new life into group work in my World History classroom, enriching the experiences of all my students!
