By using an iPad in the classroom, I can project information to the students in a collected way without interfering with their learning process. Every block I teach, my classroom is packed. It is hard for students to gather information presented on the board when I am standing in front of them. This donation will allow students to take information from the promethean board and break down the information presented without constantly disrupting their learning process by moving in front of them. The whiteboards in my classroom are in poor condition, so I have to rely heavily on the older promethean I have. With this iPad, I will be able to write on the board instead of just using powerpoint presentations. Studies show that seeing and writing information (eye to brain to pencil/paper) does improve the student's ability to retain information, and I would love to have the opportunity to prove that even more.
