It is so important for my students that are struggling with reading to spend more time reading. I do reading groups and for students not in my group they do centers. The centers include free read time, which they choose a book of their liking from the classroom library. I will also be setting up a program to send books home each week to be read with their family. Literacy at home is equally important. During reading groups the sight word books are going to invaluable, helping my students learn how to use the words they learned in lists use them in stories. The other books will be used during centers and free read time.
