Senior English is full of British Literature. Generally it contains works from the 13th century until the 19th century. My students and I have completed three full units complete with works such as Beowulf, The Canterbury Tales, and Macbeth. In addition to these classic stories, I would like to give my students a different perspective by allowing them to read The Great Gatsby as their final piece of literature this school year. We decided to read this classic novel through a classroom vote. The themes throughout the book seemed to pique their interest the most. My students are very excited to read all about the American Dream as written by F Scott Fitzgerald in this classic novel.

About my class
