The iPad minis will allow students to practice their technology skills in the resource room. This will prepare them for the SBAC testing that occurs in May as they learn how to access all tools that are available to them. Formulating complete answers in fourth grade is a challenge for all five of my students. Allowing students to have this daily dose of interaction with technology will better prepare them for state testing. The iPad mini is perfect for small group instruction. Specific applications for learning will be used for students to access everyday materials in different modes. Assistive technologies are ever-changing, but providing my students with the independence to use them will change their lives forever.
