The Dance-Makes-Me-Fit Project is a motivating opportunity for students to show off their moves to stay fit. Staying healthy needs to be easy and fun for students. Showing them that staying fit through dance is a very new concept for most. They do not make the connection that dancing is exercising. Providing the scaffolding needed to understand this concept is critical to their health and well-being. I want my students to realize that exercise can be accomplished in a variety of ways and that they can gain healthy bodies through dance! By creating and editing their individual or group dance videos they will learn critical STEM skills using technology. They will also learn some new moves watching other student dance presentations. Keeping their dance moves fresh and on the cutting edge, while working those muscles. Students will benefit from this project by producing healthy hearts from blood-pumping aerobic exercise. Please help my students understand that exercise can be fun and shared with all.
