These materials will engage and excite our students when learning about simple machines, early pioneers, and other makerspace projects. They will also help foster creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Students will have the opportunity to create simple machines, the water cycle, pioneer homes, and an insect with the legos. In addition, these materials will help improve fine motor skills, problem-solving skills, and support the higher level thinking skills. Students will be encouraged to think outside of the box to demonstrate their learning. The unique combination of the LEGOs and engaging, standards-based projects will result in each students’ confidence to ask questions, define problems and design their own solutions by putting STEM learning directly in their hands.
