My students do not have access to computers at home, and this will provide them with the opportunity to gain knowledge on the technology they will need for the future. Nowadays assessments are given through technology. Without this practice, they struggle with assessments taken online. Not only that but digital literacy is part of our standards and curriculum. I plan on using these devices during small group instruction. Our class currently only has access to five Ipads, I would prefer my students to practice their typing skills to a keyboard, opposed to a touch screen. This will provide them with practice, when given online assessments.
