My students will use these materials to build a bridge. Their goal will be to build a bridge that will hold as much weight as possible. Students must stay within certain constraints while using creativity to attain their goal. It is great having STEM classes where we can take the time to do projects. As students are working on the projects I can introduce Math and Science lessons that relate to the project and that students can immediately apply to their projects. I don't have to answer the question, "why are we learning this". Possibly most importantly, students are having fun using math and science.
