My students get so excited when I let them choose where they want to sit when working independently, with a partner, or in a small group. They make a mad dash to sit it the two bean bags we have in our classroom, but are also happy just to be somewhere besides their desks. By donating to this project you will be giving my students a choice in seating, which allows the students to feel empowered and will enable them to have some control over their environment. This is especially important given the lack of control students feel in light of COVID-19. I initially thought that giving students the freedom to sit where they wanted would create chaos, but I was wrong. The students are more alert, more engaged, more focused and definetly more motivated when given the choice of where to sit. The Flex-Space Floor Seats and Wobble Chairs will provide a comfortable learning environment, and help create a classroom community where collaboration and learning happens!
