As a Para Professional we are the ones working in small groups with students working and learning at their level. We are also the ones who get the least amount of professional development opportunities to help us better our knowledge of subject materials we are working on with our students. I primarily work with students who are struggling with their reading and math. Attending the Teach Your Heart Out San Diego conference will give me the opportunity to learn the best research based strategies for reading and math from top educators! I will take what I learn at the conference and apply it to my lessons that I do with my students so they can understand the content and grow exponentially! My goal is to have my students feel and be successful in their education, and anything I can do to help them be successful I will do my best get it to them.
