Headphones will allow my students to progress independently without disturbing students near by. We listen to native French speakers on Fridays in class to develop listening comprehension. Students progress at different levels so if they have headphones they can move faster or at a more deliberate pace if they can concentrate on their own lessons. Headphones will help them focus more intentionally on their own work. We use online sources in two of my classes and headphones will allow them to choose the video lessons the wish to follow rather than moving along with the whole class. This way their progress is more organic and self directed
