The students at our school are learning about financial literacy through our Bear Buck program. Students are saving and earning Bear Bucks for displaying positive behaviors in all the different areas of the school. Once per week students are able to spend their Bear Bucks for various prizes in our PAWSome store. Students of all grades get to shop, however, fifth grade students are allowed to work. This "job" allows them to learn financial literacy skills and practice their math operations and problem solving. The supplies requested will go toward stocking our PAWSome store and teaching the needed financial literacy skills. Students learn how to inventory items, work with the math operations, build customer service/public speaking skills, and deliver items to classes.
