The chromebooks that I am requesting will allow me to provide an equitable education in my classroom. In order to accomodate for different learning styles in the classroom so that no student is left behind, I plan to utilize these chromebooks to provide additional resources for those who are more technology-based learners. In a world where technology is ever-present, these chromebooks will allow me to give my students educational activites, lectures, videos, and even software to draw content. I plan to use these chromebooks to access visual, auditory, and tactile resources that I know will reach many more students in my classroom. Moreover, about 1/5th of my students are english-language learners. Having a chromebook will allow me to give them lectures and resources in their native language which will help them understand the content in a more accessible way. Additionally, some students do not have access to a computer at home which creates a massive barrier in their education since much of high-school curriculum is web-based. I plan to create an equitable learning environment in my classroom not only for Biology but for other classes with this extra help!
