The suspended swing will provide calming vestibular input to my students to enhance their ability to focus in the classroom. Swinging in suspended equipment has long lasting benefits up to 6 hours. The hand fidgets and adaptive seating strategies will provide my students with sensory input conducive to the classroom environment. These adaptations will provide calming and organizing input in a safe and quiet manner. These strategies will also facilitate my student's awareness of their sensory needs and provide them with a sense of control in meeting their individual sensory needs. By providing these types of sensory input, my students will benefit from their self-regulating abilities and ultimately have greater success for learning in the school environment.
