In my classroom, I have students with autism and emotional disturbances. Music is a way to help them calm down and refocus, helping them cope. While using bean bag chairs and Bluetooth headphones, these students can listen to music when they become agitated. I can continue with the lesson for the other students in my music classroom. Research shows that music therapy is an effective tool to reach students with autism and emotionally disturbed tendencies. Having a special area in my room to accommodate a positive calming musical experience will be a great benefit to these students and the other students in my classroom.

About my class
