I will create dozens of task bins covering spelling, sentence building, counting, matching color and number skills, fine motor skills, addition and subtraction, sensory relief, pattern making and word building. I will also use everyday materials collected on my own to build life skills such as silverware, dishes and daily routine activity cards. The students will use the task bins on a daily basis to encourage and enhance their independent working skills, which is a focus skill to work on for many of my students. The students in my classroom need to be able to work independently in order to be in a general education classroom and be able to effectively learn and participate.
