Using digital sensors will allow students to engage in real world concepts such as developing a heating curve for water to better understand phase changes. Other students will gain a deeper understanding of outside conditions and how the conditions impact our environment in the Florida Keys. Through the use of this technology in the classroom, I feel that visual learners will be able to view content using innovative lessons, kinesthetic learners are able to “touch” and manipulate concepts, and auditory learners will be able to access information in unique ways. My primary teaching goal is to have students investigate their role and impact in a world of science through enhanced real world applications of that science in their everyday lives.
