In Zoology we learn all about the Animal Kingdoms, but many animals live in the ocean and are not typically seen by my students, such as the fish that inhabit a reef environment, the living coral that provides the food, and the crabs and snails that keep everything clean. By bringing a marine ecosystem into the classroom, my students will be able to see first hand how the various animals interact with each other and their environment. This living reef tank will be their opportunity to observe and maintain a viable ecosystem throughout the entire course, and hopefully, inspire some to continue into the field of Marine Biology studies in college.

About my class
