My students will love to learn with these fun, hands-on materials. These items will engage these little learners to promote their best learning. Studies have shown that playing to learn is the best way for our littlest learners to grow as learners. These types of engaging materials give our little learners the opportunity to play together, learn and develop socially. Having these materials for my students gives them opportunities to learn with materials they will never have at home. My goal is to set up stations throughout my classroom with materials that guide each student to work on individual learning. These manipulatives give students the opportunity to see and touch while learning. For example, the students will be able to make letters with some of the materials so that they can see how they are formed. This will help the students be able to learn to write with paper and pencil. Some of the other materials are for word building and letter recognition stations. This will give students the ability to focus on making words and learning to read. All of these materials will be used to create stations for a more individualized learning program. Having small learning stations lets students focus on what they need to learn and grow. In order to make stations and set up learning for individual students it takes a lot of materials that I don’t have. Having these materials and being able to set up learning stations will give my students the opportunity to learn at their own pace and be successful learners that enjoy school and learning. Help me make a difference in the lives of these little learners. This will ultimately help my students to learn to love school and learning.
