These books are part of our reading curriculum. Within this curriculum, the students dive deep into the stories and gain a deeper understanding of the Revolutionary War. They will see the many challenges people in our country faced during that trying time. Students will make connections with the text and what they see in their lives today. The revolution is an important part of history. It helps our students see what our forefathers thought was important to our country and why we need to protect those rights and beliefs for years to come. Using this book, the students will follow the life of a family during the Revolutionary War. Understanding history is important to our students because it gives them an idea of how we've come as a country.

About my class
