Our school has been designated Title 1 which means a certain percentage of our students live at or below the poverty line. We have been transforming our library space by adding color and technology to infuse 21st century skills throughout the curriculum. We are actively seeking tools and technology for our Library Maker Space to continue this transformation. By giving students hands-on practice with technology opens the door to creative problem-solving, learning how to learn, and independent, self-directed exploration into how tings work. We are excited about our Library Maker Space and the opportunities it will provide to ALL of our students regardless of ethnic, economic, language, or ability "barriers." Who knows? We may just have the next Steve Jobs in our midst...
