These books will make a big difference for my students. They enjoy learning through novels and they learn about the characters and get more involved with the characters. Everyday that we read a novel they ask if we could keep reading because they want to know what is going to happen next. This kind of enjoyment of books inspired me to create lessons that involve reading novels. The only thing is that we need the books for the students. Allowing them each to have their own book gives them a chance to look back at chapters to make connections to things later in the book. They are very engaged anytime we read a novel and I would love to continue that with them.
